Sydney 5 August 2017: Digital Crew scooped the Sydney City Awards winning both the Excellence in Small Business award and the firm’s Co-founder and Director Ophenia Liang winning the Young Entrepreneur award.
The multilingual digital marketing company was one of eight Sydney businesses honoured with the NSW Business Chamber awards. The ceremony was hosted by the Lord Mayor Clover Moore with over 300 businesses from the greater city of Sydney attending.
“These awards help showcase the diversity and achievements of our dynamic business community. Small-to-medium sized businesses are the lifeblood of the city’s economy, representing 85 per cent of our businesses and contributing an estimated $20 billion to the local economy,” the Lord Mayor said.
Ms Liang said the awards recognised Digital Crew’s achievements both in Australia and overseas, particularly China, and are a great boost for the team’s morale given the “group of elite people who attended the ceremony”. On a personal level, she said she was honoured to be recognised by the city of Sydney, which she now calls home.
“The Sydney City awards are a very important platform for business – it brings people and businesses together and gives businesses exposure at a national level. This recognition is important for all businesses and particularly important to us.”
Digital Crew is Australia’s fastest growing multilingual digital marketing firm working with Australian, US and Hong Kong companies marketing into China. The firm established in 2014 in Sydney and now has offices in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, New York, Melbourne and Tokyo. END
